I've fought against the trend for a good 15 months now. First with the excuse that I had a new baby, then with the excuse that we had an anciently slow internet connection (a valid excuse I must say), and then that we were busy moving. Now these excuses have all slipped away, so I am finally crossing something off of my "to-do" list! I am entering the world of blogging...
I've done decently well at keeping up with friends' blogs and I really do enjoy reading their posts and seeing pictures of their darling kids, but now I'm going to put myself out there and see how it goes.
I even told Jared 5 months ago, when looking at everyone's cute blogs "I think it comes down to this: I either spend time with my children or I blog about them." Well, I am going to attempt to do both now that I'm getting a full night of sleep. Hopefully I succeed and, if not, perhaps I'll keep my sanity by connecting with old friends and other moms amid the daily grind of diaper changing, feeding, doctors appointments, cleaning, whining (both from me and my children), laughing, laundry, cooking, etc. So I'm not making any promises of how cute, current or clever my blog will be. It is what it is, and I refuse to put any pressure on myself~
I love this family picture. Will you e-mail it to me?
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful family picture.
ReplyDeleteI, too, am thinking about joining the blogging community. But, I am merely at the 'thinking about it' phase. What if I start it, invite loved ones to it and then neglect it? Then I'd feel mighty bad.
Or, it could go the way (as I am sure it will go for you, dear Cait) and it will be a huge success and I will successfully slip into the blogging universe!
Enough of my silly neurosis...
Love you!
I'm just glad you are on here! I already feel more connected! ;) Possibly try doing something like blogging once a month. Truly, that is what I try to do. Occasionally I do more, other times I do less. However, setting a simple goal keeps me from neglecting my family but gives me a sanity saver away from the constant cleaning and child care!
ReplyDeleteI also love your Halloween activities! Your dinner looked amazing. Are you sure you didn't get a picture off Better Home and Garden, and then post it as your dinner? Come teach me some of your skills!
Cait, This is Kelsey, even though I am on Jocelyn's Google, I might get a gmail soon, just haven't done it. I really love the update and the pictures, it is so fun to see all the fun things that you do for your family, you really are amazing.
ReplyDeleteI am happy you have a blog! Your girls are so big now. Glad to know everyone is doing well. Our family blog is ourpaisleydays.blogspot.com. Check it out sometime. I haven't gone private yet.
ReplyDeleteKiller sideburns.
