This Young Lady turned 8!

With my oldest turning 8 years old I feel like we have hit a big milestone.  Both Jared and I were looking at the photos from her baptism weekend and commented that we looked old!  Kind of a weird feeling.

On Jocelyn's birthday we did the traditional breakfast in bed and let her open gifts before heading off to Pinnacles National Park.  When we returned Jocelyn had her first "Activity Girls" swim party with the girls from church (which luckily doubles as a bday party, kind of).  She has loved participating so far 2 times a month (it is a church-run program to help the 8-11 yr old girls build testimonies of Jesus Christ and friendships with each other).

Following the swim party my Mom, Jocelyn and I attended the General Women's Church Meeting together as all women 8 and up are now invited to attend.  We were even able to hit up Fro Yo delite on the way home, at Jocelyn's request, which made for a fun night.

This last weekend we had both sets of grandparents here for Jocelyn's baptism.  We felt so blessed to have family to share the special day with us and Jocelyn had quite a day!  Beginning with her baptism, followed by a brunch at our house with friends and family, and then ending with her first piano recital.  What a weekend to remember!  Jocelyn asked her Grandma Diana to give a talk on baptism and Nana and aunt Maren to lead music for the songs.  The program went well and Jared did a great job baptizing and confirming Jocelyn.
