Christmas!

On Christmas Eve we got some take-out, acted out the nativity, sang Silent Night, then opened Christmas Jammies and books from G&G Otterstrom.  Right before kids went to bed we had yet another Hot Chocolate Party with Grandpa, Nana and Kelsey.   It was really nice to be at home!  Even though we don't lay on the "santa" thing really heavily with our kids, they still wanted to set out treats and a letter for Santa.  It was cracking me up!  They set it in the family room near the stockings and in case you can't read the letter, this is what it said: "Dear Santa, do not eat in the family room pleas.  Eat in the kitchen pleas. Love from, the Otterstrom kids.  p.s. Give the careits (carrots) to the raindeer (one extra careit for you)"

On Christmas Morning we told the kids they couldn't come out until 7 am and they did pretty well. We had also prepped them for the fact that, present-wise, this would be a small Christmas and they were all fine.  It was just fun to have some family with us and to be able to be snug in our home.  After we opened gifts we had a Christmas breakfast then my parents headed for home.  Kelsey stayed with us while we tried to clean up and nap a little before following my parents up to Dixon.
