I know this is quite delayed, but I’ll post quickly about the holidays. We stayed home and had my parents and brother and sister join us for Christmas Eve and morning. It was fun to have them join us, even though we were heading their direction the next day! We acted out the nativity with some home-made costumes and Lilly was the perfect angel, Jonas was a little baby Jesus and Jocelyn was, of course, Mary. She would have no other but Jared be her Joseph. My Dad was the narrator and when he was helping Lillian say her part, she managed to slip in the word “puppy” several times. It was cracking us up.
We enjoyed visits with my younger siblings and Jonas got to meet one of his name-sakes, my brother Nate.
Jocelyn and Lillian loved seeing their aunt Kelsey and uncle Brian and Jocelyn told me “I can really tell Kelsey loves me because she smiles and gets very happy when she says my name and gives me a hug.”
We were able to help my parents clean out their house and organize quite a bit since they moved up to Washington state last week so my Dad could take a job there. They are renting their Dixon house “half furnished” and trying to get their Washington house repaired and settled. We will definitely miss having them close by. Just ask Jared...I had a little meltdown over the fact that they were moving so far away that resulted in me hopping in the car with the kiddos and going to say "goodbye" and "help" my mom pack up for a couple days while Jared stayed home to work. It was good for me emotionally even if it made no logical sense!
We also had good visits with friends, especially some of my good friends from growing up. It was so great to visit with them and their kids, but I failed to get any good pictures as far as I can tell!
