Back to Life

We are back to life as usual and it's nice to be back in a schedule after the holidays, although we did manage to get colds this last week which are no fun!

Lillian is now attending Joy School once a week and is so proud of herself. Long story short, one other mother and I are swapping back and forth with teaching our two 4 year olds and two 2 year olds one day a week so that we can run errands with just our infants. It’s funny how it seems like such a break having just one baby to haul around. Things change and you adapt, I guess. I remember feeling like I really had to think through an outing and strategically plan my errands when I just had Jocelyn as a baby. Now I feel so productive and effective running around with only Jonas while my older two are at Joy School.

For my birthday we took family pictures and enjoyed a day at the Happy Hollow Zoo in San Jose. In all honesty, it seemed more like a little kids theme park with a few animals. The highlight of the day for the girls was feeding the goats. I think most of my day was spent changing poopy diapers since Jonas pooped through the 5 I brought as well as two that I had to beg off of complete strangers at the zoo! We had a good time and Jared treated me to a dinner and trifle cake the next day. This was my second birthday cake for the week since my friend Sarita and her family came for dinner and surprised me with a cake earlier in the week. I felt very spoiled!

  4. You all look great, and Jocelyn is looking so grown up. I bet Lillian loves Joy School, Kate would love it if she could go too. Fun!

  5. What a fun birthday! You saw Sarita....OH GOOD TIMES! I miss you all. What a fun stage of life. Isn't it funny how it has become "easy" with just one kid and when you only had one it seemed like so much work. I love the pictures. Both Lillian and Jocelyn are looking like great "big" sisters. What a perfect family.
