Brian and Katie Wedding

As I mentioned in the last post, we made a trip out to Utah to take part in the wedding of my brother, Brian, to his fiance, Katie Fisher.  I was glad to be able to meet some of Katie's family and see a whole lot of my extended family and some friends but, as always, you can only visit with so many people in such a short time.  Between the Centerville reception and the Logan Luncheon reception I was able to catch up with cousins, aunts, uncles and the like but couldn't visit anyone at length.  Everything was beautiful.  The wedding ceremony went off beautifully, they were a beautiful couple, the luncheon was amazing and even the weather mostly cooperated.  I can't wait to see how all the pictures turned out because mine definitely don't do it justice.  It was such a great day and so fun to see how happy Brian and Katie were.

But, as usual, nothing could go off without a hitch . The morning of the wedding, despite our best efforts, we all had issues.  Jared got a kidney stone and instead of going with me to the Logan temple for the wedding, he had his Dad driving him to instacare.  Nice!  Lillian was demanding tights that I had not brought so Maren was running to the store to bail us out.  Tausha forgot her temple recommend and out of everyone there she had done the most for the wedding preparations!  She had done everything from the engagement pictures to the invitations to the reception decorations to accessories for the girl's dresses.  She luckily got everything squared away with Kelsey's help and was able to slip into the wedding at the last minute.  The homecoming parade stopped traffic all throughout Logan so my in laws were delayed in arriving to help out and Emily couldn't get access to the babysitter she had lined up (my in laws ended up watching her little boy as well).  Once we were all there it was beautiful.  Even Jared was able to come over to the temple for pictures for a little while before going back to Greg and Maren's house to crash for the afternoon to try to survive the pain of the kidney stone.

The kids were pretty good sports for the pictures and it was so fabulous to have my in laws as my personal babysitters the entire day so I could visit with relatives and enjoy the day without having to worry about where my kids were, if they were safe, clean and fed and that they were where they needed to be when they needed to be there.!

I am now realizing all the pictures that I FAILED to get at the wedding.  Grrr! I can only hope I can obtain the ones from photographer.

  1. Looks like a really fun time despite all the annoyances that happened. Way cool you were in Utah, would have been fun to see you but I understand! I'm glad your family could come, congrats to your brother!

  2. I love all these pictures! Cait, you look beautiful, and Jared doesn't look at all like the pain he must have been in. Poor guy. I hope he's well now.

Congrats to Brian and Katie! Looks like a wonderful day-- I love her dress, kind of vintage feel.

I can't believe that Emma is walking already! Over-achiever! She's just gettin' cuter and cuter-- even with her morning grimaces.

    See you soon! Yay!!!
