While Jared was still in town we joined my family for a "Kevin & Pat Anderson reunion" at an awesome house that my parents generously rented for us. Between the plethora of couches, yummy food, hot tub, double king bunk beds, theater room, game room, neighborhood pool, local sports fields and reservoir there was fun to be had by all! It was seriously relaxing and exciting all at the same time. There was no excuse for everyone to NOT to have fun. We even had some family pictures taken because we were all together for the first time in 5 years!! We are still waiting on the CD so those will have to be posted later. I am sure there is no perfect shot of all of us with the amount of babies, kids and grumpy old men involved, but no one can say we didn't try!!

The following week, thanks to my mother in law for watching my flu-ridden children, I was able to sneak away and fly to Arizona to meet up with some of my "bestest" longtime girlfriends. From the get go I was so glad I put my panic attacks aside about leaving my kids and making the trip happen. I am going to steal Breanne Johnson's facebook post and picture about this since I was terrible at getting any decent pictures of us as we talked, commiserated, comforted and caught up on each other's lives. It was SOOO Fun to see them (and Jessica's belly..just a week or so after that she had the baby).

moms are close. If all three of us lived near each other (2 of us do)
our daughters would ALL be close. I learn so much from both of them; I
always have. I would say our friendships are unusual gems, and I feel
lucky to have part ownership of said gems. This weekend Caitlyn (in
the middle) visited and it reminded me of just how much friends can
teach you and influence you. Lucky for me, they are both incredible
people. Love you girls."

I was also able to meet up with some more amazing friends and reminisce on being roommates in 13C while we supported Lindsay at her wedding!! I can't express how fun it was to see these girls in person again. We try to keep each other updated in between our busy lives and families but there is something about catching up in person, picking up where you left off (even after years of not seeing each other) and laughing until your sides hurt. Thanks Lindsay for letting us be part of your special day!
