Christmas Preview

I think due to the fact that having our own house is still a novel idea, and being home for the holidays seems so comfortable, Jared and I were really excited to decorate for Christmas.  He generously got me a bunch of poinsettias on a black friday sale and I love them!!  I have all the gifts wrapped (partly...we are not having that big of a Christmas in terms of budget) because my friend generously had my kids join hers in watching a christmas movie so Jared and I could have a home date night wherein we rented a movie and wrapped gifts. We also delivered our family gifts of potpourri and mistletoe to friends and neighbors. And the kids wrapped their gifts to each other.  It's so fun so see their faces when they are anticipating how much someone will enjoy a gift they chose and wrapped themselves!

We also hosted a "gingerbread house" play-date here earlier this month and had a lot of fun! We provided the decor and candy and everyone brought their own gingerbread houses.  It was great to see how different they all were and how creative everyone could be with the same materials.
