Happy Holidays from the Otterstroms

Our family has much to be grateful for this year and we hope this greeting finds you all in good health and good places in your lives. Our biggest news is that we welcomed Jonas Nathan into our family on October 27th. We have enjoyed having him as part of our family as he is a very easy going baby and brings a little more balance since Jared was getting pretty outnumbered by all the girls! He has two very attentive and excited older sisters.

Jocelyn turned 4 this year and had a lot of firsts! She started attending preschool, participated in her first soccer program, ballet class, and took swim lessons. She enjoys dancing around the house in dress up clothes, spending time with her siblings, and practicing writing her letters and numbers.

Lillian turned 2 this year and really grew up on us! She graduated from her binkys, her crib, her diapers and her high chair! She is very sweet but can also take someone out if she wants to. She loves playing dress up, keeping up with her older sister and anything to do with puppies.

Jared turned the big 3-0 this year and we had a fun time celebrating with friends and family about a week before we moved to Morgan Hill, CA to start a new chapter of our lives. He also decided to celebrate by getting his first kidney stone! Jared still works as a patent attorney for Wagner Blecher LLP and we are grateful he has a job, especially one that he enjoys on some level. He also used some of his handiwork to build several shelves, install a new bathroom sink/counter, and plant a lawn at our rental.

Caitlyn has, in all honesty, spent most of the year keeping the above individuals fed, clean, dressed and happy! Being able to be at home to raise children is such a rewarding and joyful experience full of challenges, frustration, laughing, and learning. In between moving (again) and delivering little Jonas, she has managed to fit in a couple novels, organize the Joy School Preschool for Jocelyn, and finish some health education recertification credits.

  1. Wow, what a busy year! I can't believe you can keep your blog so filled. You amaze me...but hey, you are an Anderson! We sure do miss you guys and I hear that your mom is moving!!! AHHH that means that Dixon will not be the central hub for you guys. That means I'm going to have to make more of an effort to see you. I want to meet little Jonas!
