Kids will be kids

Jocelyn’s quote of the week: During her personal prayers, I heard Jocelyn say the following: “I love my sister Lillian, she is my best friend.” This is good news to me since their daily fighting and teasing could prove otherwise. She continued: “Please let me get a guinea pig, a pet rabbit or if I got a fancy puppy that would be perfect!” She may have to wait for a decade before this prayer can be answered, as she has a mom that is otherwise occupied and opposed for the time being…

Lillian’s quote of the week: As she’s sitting on the toilet she says “Look mom, I have a big bum (pointing to the back) and a little bum (pointing to the front).” She is very much into comparing sizes right now as she is trying to figure out how she is smaller than Jocelyn, bigger than Jonas, etc. I won’t tell you how big she thought my bum was as she proudly announced to our neighboring bathroom occupants while we were all crammed in the stall at Costco the other day. It wasn’t a pleasant realization as I’m still trying to work off the remaining 29 pounds from my pregnancy with Jonas…Gotta love their honesty, though!!

Jocelyn became my interior decorator this week with drawings she had done. Some were the entire family, some were just the three kids. She instructed Lilly how to hold them steady while she taped them up on the walls. Needless to say, she didn't think Lillian was holding still enough!

Plus, I am including a couple pictures of the kids. See how sneaky I am, including some pictures of little Jonas in an otherwise innocent post?!

  1. So happy to see pics of you and your kids as well as hear that you guys are doing well! I also appreciate the positive posts of having child #3! :) I also loved the request for a "fancy puppy"! my daughter is in love with Fancy Nancy right now and sleeps every night with the Posh Puppy story in her bed! Enjoy those kids!

  2. Hahahaha, I love the comparison story. And I too will unfortunately be opposed to pets for many many years to come. That's what petting zoo's are for, right?
