The Picture Adventure

I realize I've had a lot of pictures taken from JC Penney lately (Jared is always teasing me so I'm keenly aware), but in my defense I can get a whole portrait package for $5.45 with my coupons and the studio is only 25 minutes away so I figure I'm justified, right? Plus, I hear older moms tell me all the time how I will never regret having pictures of my kids. I'm a horrible photographer and I don't have a good camera, so this is my substitute effort.
We made it through this photo shoot with only one nursing break and two potty breaks. Not too bad, right? Without further ado, here is the result of our outing last week...

Don't let Lillian's innocent smile fool you...yesterday when Jocelyn did something to make her mad Lilly sprung at her with a full on bite/kick/punch ninja move. It didn’t do much damage since she is so tiny, but she really needs a leash on her aggression sometimes!

We are really enjoying our good weather. We have several Calla Lilys growing in our backyard and I was outside on Saturday in a short sleeve shirt and cut off shorts feeling pretty warm. Sometimes I love being in California, even though the expense of it all gets me down...

  1. Cute cute cute pictures. I imagine Jonas is a very patient baby by now with all the loving he is obviously getting from his sisters. The girl's hair is adorable. I am still not very good with girl hair.

  4. I don't blame you. that's a good price for pictures of your kids... get them any way you can! Silas is a very aggressive little boy these days, if you learn how to put a leash on it. let me in on the secrets!

  6. Thanks to your inspiration, Tami, I made those flowers to match the dresses! I thought they were a bit large, but went for it. You're only a little girl once, right?

  7. That is a steal. I've heard moms say they wish they included themselves more in the pictures & videos too (even by tripod) so that is good you just got family pictures too!
Jocelyn is looking a lot older to me in those pics.

My only photo request: use large (or even extra large) on photo size. Then it's similar to holding a 4x6 or 3x5 in your hand. I can't see your kids' cute faces well enough! ... Hope you don't mind me suggesting that :)

Hope all is well! It was good talking to you recently!

  9. they are too cute. I love them. you are good for making it there with three. I feel like just getting out of the house ready with two is challenging! Hope you are doing well.
