Christmas Miracle

Jonas continues to sign a ton, and I love it.  He turned 14 mos. Old this week and has learned a couple new signs: Baby, sleep, no-no, outside and he also made up his own sign: walk.  He holds up both hands and “quacks” them both like a duck over and over.  He does this if he wants Jared and I to help him practice taking steps.   

We had our own Christmas miracle-Jonas started walking.  He had taken a few steps between Jared and I with a lot of coaxing, but Christmas Eve he stood up on his own and walked to the Ottoman for a few steps and has continued doing that since.  His main mode of transportation is still crawling, but it’s pretty fun to see how excited he and the girls get after he pulls little stunts like that.  He decided to really show off as we webcammed with G&G Otterstrom Christmas Eve.  He kept looking at the computer to make sure they were watching, then he would take steady steps back and forth between Jared and I.  It was cracking everyone up.  Jocelyn was a 10 month walker and Lilly was walking between 12-13 months, so I was starting to get a little concerned that Jonas wasn't walking yet, but I guess they all do things in their own time.
