New Years Resolutions

Emma working on her goals by strengthening her neck & back muscles in her bumbo chair.  I know I'm biased, but she's pretty cute!
For Family Home Evening at the beginning of January our family set goals for 2013. Some of my personal favorites...(keep in mind there are 6 of us ranging in age from 2 months to 32 years):
No hitting, learn to pedal a tricycle, learn to say the ABC's, Read to my kids every day, Go on dates with my honey, learn to crawl, learn how to sign please and thank you, Learn how to wipe my own bum, shower by myself, learn to swim, no eating boogers or biting nails, no name calling, No pull-ups at night, Read my scriptures daily, go on a family vacation. It's going to be a good year! Bring it on!

How Lillian & the other kids use the bumbo chair

We got Lilly's shirt as a hand-me-down "big sister" and another friend gave us these pj's for Emma "little sister" and even though they are too big for the baby, Lilly has been insisting that they wear them on the same day.  She couldn't be more proud and they actually sat on the couch like this for about a 20 minutes together while I did the dishes.
Emma is so big now using her play mats and her bumbo and I daresay the older kids were more excited to get them out than she was!  She gets better at them all the time.

Ha!! I finally captured a smile today of the little stinker

If Jonas follows through with one of my his goals of getting potty trained, this won't be a problem for much longer, but right now we have two in diapers which means more $...I went through this before when Lillian was born and Jocelyn was still in diapers, but man, it seems expensive!  I have quite a few cloth diapers from a killer garage sale purchase as you might remember, as well as some from a friend as a hand-me-down so we try to use them at least half the time to cut down on costs and help the environment out a little.  These are my two cuties in their diapers one day.

Lillian & Jonas in their dog aprons that my mom made them.  It was world war III here every day since Jonas wanted to wear Lilly's apron and Lilly would decide each day if she would let him or NOT let him use it.  Nana bailed us out and made Jonas his own apron.  Thanks Nana!

  1. Can't wait to see you!! Soooo excited.

I love those doggy aprons. I think Pattykins has a new biz venture on the horizon. ;)

The kids are so precious. Jonas looks huge! As does Emma. They really grow up so fast. Looking forward to trading babies to hold!
